About Profe Gloria Trujillo
I'm a transplant from Madrid, Spain, where I lived until I moved to the US in 2001. Portland has been my city since I crossed the Atlantic Ocean, and it will probably be home for a very long time.
I enjoy many different types of activities in my leisure time, paddle-boarding to playing guitar, reading, blogging, etc. I'm currently pursuing my MEd from Marylhurst University, where I plan to graduate next year. In addition, I graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2016 with my MA in World Languages: Spanish from Portland State University, where I also taught second year Spanish while completing my program. I was also nominated the Student Speaker during my graduation in 2016, where I had the privilege to speak in front of 12,000 people. I'm passionate about learning and teaching, and I hope together we can embark in an amazing journey to discover Spanish.

My most ambitious goal as your teacher is:
"To help you develop all four major competencies of Spanish, that is, your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills that will enable you to be part of a dynamic and diverse community of speakers. The second aim is to help you develop strong academic and professional skills so you are better equipped when you start university, and your adult life."

PSU Challenge - Fall 2017 Registration Information
Dear students,
Spring Registration is now open at PSU. The deadline for registration and payment is October 3rd, 2017.
Please, try not to delay your registration until the last minute. This deadline is set in stone, and students not registered by then will be unable to register until the following term deadline, missing the first 3 credits of the year.

On September 15th we will have a registration session during Flex, so we can go through the process together.

Here are a couple of links to help you register, if you'd like to go ahead and do so.
  • Registration - New Students
    • Fill application to PSU here. Follow instructions on how to do it, here.
    • Set up your PSU ODIN account (You need PSU ID, Birthdate, and our classroom activation code)
    • Log in to the Student Information System to select our course (Use your PSU username and new password given when you registered at PSU ODIN). You will need to pay for the course when you register there. If you experience any problems with the payment, please, let your instructor or Joy Becket Know immediately, so you don't loose the chance to get your credits.
Quick Q&A:
What is an ODIN account? It's where you get to activate your student account (email, D2L, etc) with PSU. Please, if you have already registered or taken any other classes at PSU, you probably will get an error message if you try to re-register. If that's the case, please contact PSU Registration office at 503.725.3220. They will need to reset the account manually, otherwise you should be able to register without experiencing any problems.

Here is a link to PSU Library, which you should be able to access online for research.
